The ability to provide a clear, direct, and succinct pitch to investors or potential partners is an essential, but often overlooked skill. Lighting Up Ventures will be hosting a free pitch training session to help you develop your capabilities and make the best impression at conferences, such as the upcoming NextRise, or whenever you are speaking with potential partners.

In this workshop you will develop your ability to communicate to busy people and learn how to make an effective pitch. You will learn the importance of, and how to build an effective team. With MIT's Kendall Square Innovation District as the backdrop, differences in startup and innovation cultures will become clear and provide insight as to how pitches should be tailored to each audience.

We will use startups at Harvard and MIT, the world's most active ecosystem for deep tech, as examples to demonstrate how cultural differences can alter pitch and communication expectations.

All participants will then have the opportunity to try everything they have just learned and receive constructive feedback.

Everyone should then go out the following week to NextRise 2021 and put what they have learned to use. Find out more about NextRise HERE.
